Anyone used or can recommend a car transporter service that can collect a used car from a dealer and deliver to my door?

The car is a new shape mini and delivery is in Kent. I am looking at cars in Manchester area or even as far as Scotland if transport can be done cheap enough.

I would go up and view the car but do not want to waste more time going by train/plane and driving back. Getting lazier I am even thinking of just asking for lots of pics, commissioning an AA check, hpi and check the cars history with Mini and if all ok just buy unseen...

They are hardly rare, can't you find one nearer?

In general they are not rare cars but when you want an auto, with low miles, nice spec, full history, post 2007 model, not cat c/d (many about) and for 7k they become very rare..

I saw one dealer advertising nationwide delivery for just 99.00 but he only has manual so got me thinking. I have just done a quote from Shiply.com and waiting for results but with these things I think recommended companies are better..

PS: Deerfoot - I did get that FR-V after all in Greece but sold as we moved back to UK. Got a Jazz now and getting a FR-V (auto) next year. One of the best cars we ever owned that FR-V and looking forward to another. Even the Jazz involved allot of hunting and I bought 2 hours away from me as price was nb.

So you want the cheapest one in the country for that age/spec and you want to buy it un-seen'.

That is a receipe for disaster, I also think you are under budget for what you are looking for.

And its about £250 delivered manchester to kent or get it done using a UK trade plate co' like Cargoes in Northampton will be a little bit cheaper still close to £200 though.

I remember you now! Yep, our FR-V has been absolutely faultless in the time we've owned it. I'm looking to replace it in the new year and I'm struggling to find something suitable.

I looked a new Accord Tourer but the loadbay is an odd shape and is actually smaller seats up than a Skoda Fabia estate........

PS, Good luck with your search.

In my experience price has been a poor indication of condition and higher priced cars were bigger let downs...

Was going to get an X3 but now with a 3rd child on the way a 6 steer is the most practical option as I do not fancy trying to buckle one of the kids in the middle rear seat of any car nor am I breaking my back getting one into the rear of a seven seated!

I did that to buy my Z3. Flight was 80 and taxi to airport was 80 and lots of petrol.

Worth it for that car but this is mini auto - not my idea of fun!
