3.0 Ferrari v8 quad bike, £167,000 plus tax...

Apologies if this is a repost, couldn't find anything with a quick search.
Just spotted this on BBC news, I think it looks pretty cool but one thing I can't figure out with a cursory google is what engine is being used.
AFAIK Ferrari haven't made a 3.0v8 since the Quattrovalvole, and it didn't make 300bhp then - why tune a very old ferrari engine for a modern, bespoke, high budget, modern project?
Anyway, certainly looks the part, not horrific value for the super-rich to have something different, and a good veyron-esque power-to-weight ratio...
