Dension Gateway 500 installed
Discussion
Hi all, there was a Dension GAteway 500 installed in my Cayman when I purchased it, not sure exactly what it does or is doing but in the little booklet that came with it it says that you can use them for hands free etc, it says about selecting cd player then cd 6 and it will give yo a menu/list of options, does anybody know anything about these and can shed any light on it for me? Thanks
I have a 500 in my BM. It's for iPod or other ax player types. If you go to CD 6 you will find that somewhere in your sat nav or menu system you will be able to browse your iPod or similar and select artists, playlists or song etc. If you look in the glove you'll prob find a USB port white and red aux jacks and a switch to switch the 500 on an off. Also in the glove or elsewhere there should be an iPod dock connector.
ETA - there is also an optional extra module for bluetooth phone connection - I don't have this so can't tell you any more.

Ummm, I have not got sat nav in the Porsche so only the Porsche radio screen, so do you think I would be better going for a Parrot with its own screen hands free etc rather than buying the Dension bluetooth add on? All the dension bits are in the compartment under the bonnet nothing in the glove box.
I fitted one of these a few months back. You can download a user guide from:
