Hi

I'm going to be hosting a race tonight, primarily for members of another forum that I go on and that organise race series on, but wondered if any of you guys with GT5 facied joining in. Really looking for good clean racing as we generally run with tight racing rules and the car build and choice is fairly simple to knock up.

Basically we are racing in any road car, not race modified cars, built to a pp limit of 485. You can upgrade the car as much as you would like but you will be limited to the max pp of 485, so tuning beyond that is fine but you will have to turn down the engine power or add weight or both in order to meet the regulations. We will also be using comfort soft tyres.

The format for the evening will be a 30 minute qualifying session before the first race in free run mode, followed by a 12 lap race around Spa. Then we'll have a bit of break and follow that with a 15-20 lap race around Tokyo R246 or Nurburg GP with a reverse grid start on the 1st race finish order. If you're interested then send me a FR and join my lounge at 10pm. PSN antgrayuk.

Cheers, maybe see you later.

I might be up for this if other people are as well, I don't want to be the only outsider gegging in for the races!

However much it pains me to say it, I would totally be driving the Nissan GTR of some spec, that thing is a weapon around that PP.

Probably give it a pass. Those rules lend themselves to 1 car ruling all, normally something like a girly GTR fully tuned then pegged back.

Here's a tip, don't let norbs race either. He crashes all the time.

It's just that Jon is a massive faggot. He's jealous of my ride, see.

Dice is the one that crashes all the time anyway.

Hey Flip, fancy trying that move on GW again on Tuesday? Would help a lot.

TIA

hehe

Had a good battle in race 1, very close, but fair and still at a good pace.

Thanks for joining us last guys, I hope you had some fun with it. Bit of a shame you and the cars were so dominant, especially over the longer distance. We might have been able to give you a bit more of a race over the shorter distance. Still is was good to see some new faces in our regular crowd.

Last night was a bit of a test event really, wanted to see what the spread of field would be like with just a pp limit. As you had already said above, the BMW was very dominant but the encouraging thing is with a bit of work I reckon you could get a good field of equal cars for some interesting racing.

I organise the Lotus Challenge Trophy on WLR, usually on a thursday night at 10pm. Looking to start the new season in 2012, we only run short 6/7 race seasons, so get a few in on the course of 12 months biggrin

If there's one thing we've learnt If there's one from this season of racing, it's that PP limits, while close, aren't equal.

If you run open class you'll find whoever has the most time to do testing will always find the quickest car / setup combination for the chosen circuit and be unbeatable.

This is why we're going back to 1 car next year.

I'll be a new face, I've got a fair bit of spare time over xmas and after having GT5 for over a year now i've finally got online with it.

I'll keep an eye out in here for any upcoming race nights.

Yeah it was nice racing you, it was the first time I had ever driven an M3, I just gave it an engine rebuild then pegged back the standard car with no other mods. I see what people say about it being a fun car to drive standard though. Will definately have a look at a thursday night championship, I might not have much time to practice and might miss a few weeks, but I will give it a go.

Just to give you a heads up, the car I am planning to use for the next season is a Motorsport Elise (in gt5 but to you and me an s1 Exige). It will be a stock build (so no mods set in the lobby) and will be limited to 197HP as max HP in the lobby setting. We will also be using Sports soft and Sports medium tyres, compulsory pit with change of compond in the race. I will post up some more details once I have sorted the finer points.

Cheers
