thats not lightly damaged, half the baco end of the car has gone, and scratches all the way down the side.

I bought an early good condition Chim for £6000. That one would cost thousands to repair. Fibreglass repairs are not easy! This is not accounting for write off resale value as well. I would avoid and get a good one.

That's a shame. frown

How much is it really worth? £2k?

Yes the cheapest 450 is around £7k, but how much will this one be worth as a CAT C / D repaired? Plus with only a few choice mods a 400 can make 450 power.

Professionally £7.5, say, less £2K fibreglass, less £1K fittings, trim and paint, less £2K cat/d, less £1.5K tales of the unexpected = £1K. So it'll go privately to someone who is handy in car repairs, buy it for £3K, repair it for £2K and hope to break even after driving it for a year.

I'd want the chassis to go on a rig before even considering repairing anything else's on that.

Some traders really are quite deluded with their pricing.

Vastly overpriced, but otherwise quite an easy repair,

Doesn't look liable to have chassis damage but would probably have a quick measure of wheel base and camber/toe angles before commiting.

I'm 80% sure that car was for sale in that condition about 5 weeks ago at a scrapyard.

I was looking before I got the B, and it kept coming up on my searches.

I'd say you're looking at quite a bit more than £2k. The following cost almost £1400, same location on the car and it was only a few deep scratches.

if it was a couple of grand would be perfect to strip and put the engine in something to make a sleeper
