Reviews of the 991 base car??

I'm not in the market for the S - but on paper the 3.4 base car with minimal extras, less driver aids, and a manual box makes a good case for itself. If anyone's gleaned any info / reviews on it, I'd be happy to hear?

It's funny but as a previous owner of a very well specced 997.2 C2S and current owner of a Carrera GTS I have to say that the base 997.2 Carrera is fantastic. I was loaned by my OPC when I had my C2S serviced and almost felt that it was better!!! OK a bit less power but the handling felt so spot on (OK not as good as the GTS but still...!). It was a lovely car.
I would definitely not discount the 991 Carrera. If it's a lot better than the outgoing 997 then it will be very impressive indeed.
