I didn't mean it like that, more the idea of putting fuel in it.

Been pretty tempted by one for some time, though the bed bending issues put me off somewhat. I still want one, but another Chevy will do me just fine I think.

My sense was that this was 100mph jumps on the trail rather than normal offroading but its certainly a valid concern.

Yeah I agree, it's just something I know will bug me as it gnaws away at the back of my mind. I still refuse to rule them out, I'm back in the US next month so I'll be seeing what's around. The allure of high speed off roading is definitely there, and they're bloody nice to drive, but I know I'll end up abusing it

Well, I don't k ow much about the raptor, but the video didn't really show it doing Any nutty, or crazy stuff that any other 4x4 wouldn't be able to do. I've seen plenty of MOAB videos, (the Isuzu forum I used to go on had plenty of trips there for folksin the region), and it just didn't seem like an overly great demonstration.

As for climbing a wall, I doubt it. On the video, the first rock climb it does the tail is scraping the floor as it doesn't have a great departure angle.

True..but a Mercedes C63 looks like a basic C series. Does not mean its the same thing.

Not a great departure angle, as shown in the first shot. As a desert nooner, it will be great, but not as a rock crawler which they seem to be pushing.

I hope not. I saw a pickup today, racing me to the roundabout, he was coming from the right, so if he got there first, he had right of way. I let him, and then watched him do a clumsy 180 as his rear let go as he went round. Volvos simply do not do that sort of thing.

I think it was one of these.

Get one Ronan! I saw the dual cab one at the Toronto auto show last year, awesome piece of kit, suitable for putting the kids in too.

I had never driven a truck until a few weeks ago, GM gave me a Silverado 2500HD with the 6.6L V8 Diesel to drive for a week (review coming soon on BDFD.com), it was frickin' amazing. Now I love trucks! It had ~400bhp and I think 765lb-ft or torque!! Ridiculous fun.

There is a guy near me who has imported one to the UK. In black, it looks menacing, but primarily... ENORMOUS on our UK roads.

TBH, I'd love one. Although not sure it would go down the country lanes? I guess that's where it's off road capabilities would come to use though!
