Just had my new exhaust/upgraded fuel pump/wiring fitted at BCS Automotive, whilst it was there dave noticed the front turbo waste gate was seized... with a slight tap went back into position...now have 2 working turbos and a lot more hp.
Which suprised me as its been like it since i purchased it just over a year ago and i never knew, Jetsream serviced it a month or so before i purchased it so would of thought they might of picked that up.
Anyway it runs so much better now but took it to get an mot today and it failed the emissions.
It has a very slight misfire, dave has assured me he hasn't had a problem with the 20 or so nobles he has done previously.
So i'm wondering where to go from here.. perhaps replacing the spark plugs?
Has any one experienced simular problems it may be that now the turbo is working again something needs replacing or tuning up.
Does anyone know of someone local to Aylesbury that may be able to take a look and not rip me off as its proberbly something simple.
Just need to get it through the mot!

There are 2 lambda sensors. The rear one is easy to get to by removing the Intercooler but the front one is awkward to say the least. I've recently changed both on mine and it took me about 6 hours to do the front one alone. You can do it with the car on the ground but it might be easier if it was up in the air to get access from underneath. I removed the side panel and the wheel arch cover from the driver's side to get access. I also removed the hard pipe section that goes from the front turbo outlet across the back of the bulkhead to give me more access. You will end up with bruised ribs and arms that look like you've been attacked by a wild animal after this! It would also be prudent to disconnect the car battery from the -ve terminal at least as the spanner (22mm or 7/8") you'll need to remove the sensor will swing very close to the +ve terminal on the battery and there is always the risk of dropping it across the terminals.
Also if you use WD40 on the old sensor be aware that the overspray from this will land on the exhaust so you will see some smoke from this when you run the engine again.
Prior to changing the lambda sensors my car also had an occasional miss at lowish revs in 4th & 5th but this now appears to be cured although my first test run after finishing the work was cut short by the soft elbow blowing off the front turbo pipe as I hadn't put this back on properly. I'm trying to summon up the enthusiasm to fix this and then run the car again to be sure.
I used the diagnostic software and ther was a noticable difference in the response between the old & new sensors (the old ones did respond but seemed to be very 'lazy' compared to the new).
The plugs I have fitted are NGK ITR6F134477 gapped at 32thou. These are about £8 ea. The lambda sensors are OZA216-D2 and were about £50 ea.

Cheers Graeme is your the 3ltr? is the diagnostic software easy to use and download and does it require a special lead?

Simon, it's a 3 ltr. The software is easy to use but does require a special lead. I think you need to go to Nobleparts to download the software and the wiring detail for the lead.Cheers,
