Jumping the gun a little here, but seeing as I have just eaten my own bodyweight for mine (silly Norwegians think Christmas Eve is when you have Christmas dinner...) Thought I`d kick off

Starter was monkfish wrapped in bacon - very, very lovely, followed by pork belly and salted sheeps ribs with cabbage and boiled spuds - not that traditional in a UK sense, but bloody delicious nonetheless.

Icecream cake and rice pudding for desert.

All washed down with non-alcoholic Christmas beer.

Currently feel very, very full and I doubt any amount of Norwegian rocket coffee is going to keep me awake through this shift!

They have lutefisk (google it, sounds delicious...) on the menu for lunch, so if I don`t make it through the night, you can be fairly sure the fish has killed me.

So, what did you have/have on the menu and how was it?

Massive turkey roasted yesterday covered in bacon.
3 ribs of beef roasted today, caramelized on the outside, rare in the middle.
Pigs in blankets, sausagemeat and stuffing.
Roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions and mushrooms.
Broccoli, carrots in maple syrup.
Massive yorkshire pud.
Argentinian Malbec decanted a few hours ago.

Starter? Dessert? Not needed. That little lot was for 2 of us.

Leftovers for 6 months at least.

went shopping yesterday to make:

pork belly in apple & sherry
chorizo in red wine
chorizo & bean stew
bbq'd chicken wings in lemon & parsley marinade
bbq'd fresh tiger prawns in garlic

only slight hitch being a massive hangover which means i can't be bothered getting out of bed to start cooking
