Or consider one where everything else has been rebuilt already, so should still be under warranty for those parts:

The one you listed seems ok. But just because it's the garage owners brothers car doesnt guarantee anything.
Does he get on with him?
We're genuine parts used?
Are there service records and receipts?
Does the warranty cover EVERYTHING? It's an old car with lots of mileage, you just want to be sure...

Merry Xmas

As above I reckon the second one is worth the little extra tbh.

There's something wrong with the shut lines on the passenger side light and the front just doesn't look right confused

Also the Litronic has the power water washer top missing on the drivers side.

Just looks old to me, and I'm sure there are better cars to spend £20k on yes

No such thing as a cheap super car remember, always buy the best you can afford. Agree with the above opinions. It might only be 20k to buy but still has the running costs of it original purchase price of around 5 times that!

Excellent - advice noted especially the other car which does look indeed appear 'cleaner'. The one I looked at is with a very well known and highly regarded local specialist. I'll see if I can get a couple of k off due to the time of year / Euro knackerage.

Thanks again

I think if you can get the second car for 20K you would be doing mighty fine. Looks nice to me and under 100K miles.

Good luck.

I reckon there is better value out there and you may be able to grab one of the later, lower mileage models for 20/21k cash (i.e. the 02 plates that are advertised for 22-23k), the market is so quiet that private sellers in particular will have to settle for 10-15% less, this one also looks good:

Am I right in thinking these don't run the risk of the potential engine problems?

This car was discussed about a few months ago when the previous owner was trying to shift it for under 20k

I am thinking about one of these for this year, just not sure if I really want to spend £25k on a 10 year old car regardless of what is once cost.....

Get an inspection and appreciate that this is a 11 year old performance car so many parts will need refreshing. Buying the car is not the expensive partsmile

The second car is my old car that I part exchanged for an M5 and is definately worth the asking price! I made the car immaculate all that it needed was the front bumper spraying due to stone chips and that has now been done to a very high standard. If you have any questions about it PM me or read my owners journal here:

Great cars.
I owned one for 12 months or so, forget the miles.
If the condition/clutch/turbo heat shields/exhaust heat shields/radiators & condensors up front are all in order they are both bargains IMO.

There is not a car on this planet for that money that can hold a torch to a 6T.
No brainer.
