If I picked 50 private cars for sale out of the classifieds today and told them I could be there for about dinner time to have a look, how many do you think would let me go around?

Anybody actually bought a car on Xmas day?

im sure it will be a welcome break from the in-laws and top off the day nicely with a cash sale to fund the xmas excesses...

i would let you come round but it would have to be when i said was possible. A possible sale is a possible sale what ever the day is.

I had a bloke come look at a car christmas day, it was on the drive with a for sale sign. He picked it up boxing day:-) money talks even on christmas day!

Needs fuel though.

Some of those may be joke ads. I know someone who had an ad put up for his car... under-priced with a message saying he was leaving the country on Boxing Day. He got a few calls. biggrin

I'd work on the basis if the mobile is switched on he's prepared to take calls.

If I was selling one and thought there was a serious buyer I'd let them come.

I can't see tyre kickers being around on xmas day tbh, I can only think of very serious buyers who know that it's now or never to get the car type.

I had plenty of calls yesterday. Some looking viewings, but I couldn't accomodate them. Money talks, Christmas day or not.

It's quite common actually, as it's a public holiday and a lot of people have free time.

+1

If i chose to want to sell cars on the 25th Dec, then any viewings i would do would be after qualifying if the prospective customer was in a position to buy there and then - ie, would be bringing cash with them - or would be bringing cash to leave a sizeable deposit.

As it happens, i have my phone off.
