A friend of mine wants rid of his car, he is buying a new TT and has a hire car at the moment.

Now, he wants £500 for his old car;

2002 BMW 318TI
106,000 miles
No Tax or MOT

Its been badly keyed down both sides, and both wing mirrors are missing.

He spent £900 on work for the MOT, but didnt have it retested as it needs two tyres.

My only reason for buying it would be to do an eBay special and flog it on. Its not advertised anywhere else, and he just wants rid

Buy it. M.O.T it and sell it as is or put a couple of hundred towards the paintwork and sell for more. Should make about £1,200-£1,500 ish.

Cheers, plan is MOT it, try to get the key marks out, then sell it on!

How much should I expect, with key marks and without do we think?

I think you will find that to pass an mot you will need a driver's side mirror.

Apart from the tyres, what else hasn't he told you that will need fixing? wink

Thats quite tempting if all it needs for MOT is tyres.

Two new tyres £50. and either run it to ground or sell on and double your money

+1

Though the key marks could take an easy £300-£400 to repair if it needs both sides resprayed.

yes

Seems to good to be true to me. If all works out and is described as said friend has said you could easily make £500 profit by selling on.
