Hello to all and merry xmas!

Santa bought me a 2010 Boxster Spyder (well, it was me, but whatever) and according to the dealer it's only 1 of 18 on the Iberian peninsula! It's an ex demo car, with just 14.000 km on it and comes in white, with the alcantara package, PCM, PSE, sport-chrono and PDK. I'm happy as a 10 year old with its playstation, it's supposed to be a daily driver and I took it for a few rides already, resulting in a smile from ear to ear!
My favourite configuration is with the sunroof up, since I so much admire the engineering of that top! It adds this new line to the side view, which in my opion makes it completely different from a standard boxster and totally irresistible!

I have a few questions though, and I was wondering if one of the other Spyder (or Boxster) owners can help me with it:

- first: how do you fold the rain screen? I looked in the manual and the laminated roof user-manual, but it's still unclear to me how to make this thing fit into its designated hold
- how do you fold the sun screen, two fold or three fold?
- daytime driving lights: I thought that only the LED headlights would come on, but when I select it, all lights come on, except the dashboard light. Do you share the same experience?
- if the rain screen is installed, it squeaks a lot when I drive bumpy roads. It appears to come from the right side and I suspect the part where it fits into the body. Does anyone have this as well and is there an easy way to overcome this?
- the backlight of the sport-chrono-stopwatch only illuminates when I start it. Is this normal?

Well that's all my questions for now! Hope one of you can help me with it!

All the best,

easyGoom.

the weather shield should fold like a roll. start 1 end to the middle and then start the other end to the middle. You then plonk the whole contraption into the designated slot. Best if you look up you tube. plenty of demos there. search boxster spyder roof......

re the flapping, they all do that. solution - don't use the shield, just use the cap.

the LEDs are side lights.. and not DRLs.. the main headlights serve as DRLs.

Top - As aboveb- i think mine folds 3 times but youtube is your friend

Squeaking - try some rubber reviver or very light oil (baby oil) on the seals - this will keep them tip top and non squeaking.

Your lights are fine - they all do that

Sport chrono light only comes on when its on

If you start the chrono running and then stop it without resetting it, the light will come on with the rest of your instrument lights if that is what you want.

To turn the daytime headlamps off go into the trip computer, scroll down to 'Set' and then scroll down to daytime lights and un-tick the box.

For the sunshade, I fold the rear metal frame forward so that it's on top of the carbon front section, then fold the material forward on top of that. So that's in half, then in half again if that makes sense.
The rear rain section, I roll in a couple of times from one side, then roll the rest in all the way from the other side. This way ensures that the perspex window doesn't get scratched by the solid end stays.

Santa was definitely kind to you. Great roads to use the Spyder on - I drove them a few years ago when I had a Caterham, and would love to go back and enjoy them again in the Spyder. The Paradors were a great place to stay cool
