I know when I ordered my last Porsche that you could have a paint to sample and they can make any colour you want pretty much BUT lets say you wanted a colour that they already made but wasn't available on that model what would it cost / is it possible? say if you wanted Cayman R Peridot on a new 991

They will do it and I think it's about £1000 extra on top of normal metallic paint.

if it's not on the colour lists for the 991, it's PTS

That's good value IMO, the time would be more of an issue!

I guess it wouldn't be the usual 6 month lead time though as they would already have the paint and recipe whereas I imagine most of the lead time for PTS is the experimenting to get the colour right

Unfortunatly I fear that may be the car that scuppered gulf blue for pts, they had difficulties in bonding it to the bumpers iirc & it's now not available on pts. The price includes them testing the colour (if it's never been used before) on various finishes to see if it meets their standards of finish & apparently gulf blue now doesn't.

(believe it or not I enquired about a boxster spyder in gulf blue with signal orange wheels & stripes! Individual to say the least.........)
