Hi all,

My old TV used to be too "zoomed in" on every TV channel. Anyway, I got a new TV yesterday and my new one seems to be the bloody same! Any ideas? I've attached a picture below... As you can see, Breaking News is cut off at the bottom left.

Merry Christmas.

Set the picture format to Auto or 16:9

Cycle through the 'aspect ratio' options and see if there is one that doesn't have the overscan you're suffering from. My BIL's LG did this with his Sky box and I managed to find a setting that worked (he was using scart input if this makes any difference as HDMI should be 'exact fit' when set to 16:9).

Hi gents,

I've just scanned through the screen format - Wide zoom, normal, zoom, 14:9 or captions.

All of the above are no good.

Any other ideas at all? It is because I am using an aerial which has attached by a magic eye?

I think it's going to be in your sky+ box rather than the TV. Might be worth investigating.

It sounds like the aspect ratio on your Sky box (or whatever you are using) is off not the tv. Try and find the picture format setting on the sky box.

I also thought this. However, my TV downstairs is perfect but the one in my bedroom (above) has the problem.

Driving me insane!

I would still check the sky box is set right.

Press services on the sky remote, then system setup > picture settings and check its set to the correct ratio

Yet again, PistonHeads doesn't fail to delivery.

Many thanks all, it's sorted! Very much appreciated!

The giveaway is in the image - everything is stretched apart from the superimposed Sky+ graphic, which is properly circular.
