Merry Christmas to you all - I hope you have had a nice few days....

I am looking at investing in a high quality external car cover for my MR2 - around the £200 - £250 mark.

The few companies I have seen so far state that their covers are fully waterproof and breathable etc which I am fine with.

My concerns lie with any surface paint damage as I had a mate who had a cheapish cover that rubbed the corners of his paintwork.

Has anyone got any experience of a good cover that doesn't damage paintwork?

Cheers

Eh, did it just rub the paint off or did the paint come off when it was cold and wet and it froze to the car on a regular basis?

From memory it rubbed on the edges that the covers touched (spoiler, wing mirror, nose cone etc) when the wind blew (which is pretty much all the time!).
