Hi,

Noticed today that my clutch has started slipping, you really need to boot it to get it to slip but still its slipping so i'm assuming it will only get worse.

Question is, is it a job that can be attempted at home?, i.e. without a lift or is it a garage only sort of job?

Regards

Rich

I replaced mine recently and compared with replacing the clutch in my daughters Punto it was a doddle.
There were no real problems just the top bolts securing the gearbox to bellhousing were a little awkward!
The job was done by myself with the car on axle stands and using a trolley jack.I hope this helps!

Cool, thanks for that, is this the clutch and pressure plate separately or a kit?,
What about this on ebay?

Thats a different clutch ,done a bit of research and the AP clutch which TVR Power sell is good for 270ft/LB so i went for is 350ft/LB .Been told the next one up is the paddle clutch .The TVR Borg an beck clutch only lasted me 6 months in a near standard 4l..

All ineed now is a thrust bearing about £15 and get it fitted..

Is there any torque settings.?
