Battery Light coming on for a couple of minutes

I am assuming the alternator but just thought I would check to see if anyone has seen anything similar.

My Cerb starts first time without an issue (connected to an Accumate when in the garage) and the battery seems strong. The battery light goes out immediatly after starting and even at idle with both the heated rear and front screens on stays off. However after a couple of minutes of driving it comes on and stays on despite what revs the engine is running at, then a couple of minutes it goes off and never returns until the next cold start. I have even checked to oil level to make sure the dash lights are not wired around the wrong way (their not)

Might change the big fuse as well just to be sure

Definately check the big fuse, I had a similar issue where the fuse had fractured so one minute the battery would charge the next minute the battery warning light would come on, replaced the fuse, 2 minute job and all sorted.

As said check the fuse first then the voltage at the battery should be around 13.7v with the car running if not check for that voltage at the back of the alternator. This will point out if it is working and charging to what point.

Check the voltage with a few revs on, many Cerbs do not charge at tick over.

Yeah its weird because at tickover its fine, turned on all the electrics I could and still OK. Yet when the light comes on you can take it up to 4000rpm (don't want to do more as it happens a couple of minutes after a cold start) and it stays on for a couple of minutes before disappearing again.

Suspecting (and hoping) the big fuse may be cracked and flexing as it heats up. Anyway one on order so will change when it arrives and if not then swap the alternator out
