Anybody else going to stop on Jan 1st?

After stopping for 9 months last January and going on holiday, the cheap Marlboros got the better of me and my missus and all that good work went out of the window. frown

But we're going to stop again, so the moodiness will last for a few days, and hopefully I won't add to last year's sweets/junk-food fuelled stomach. hehe

So anybody else (again)?

Thought about it, it was a silly thought and swiftly left my mind. I'm still hedging my bets on the cancer cure before I get it.

I'm not stopping, but I am vastly cutting down.

I've been smoking 5-10 a day for nearly 6 years, and now I have realised I only enjoy one or two of these a day.

So I'm now on the second day of 'cold turkey', I plan on not smoking until the second week of January, as I'll on holiday so will definitely be having a few drinks!

I don't want to be ill, but I don't want to stop smoking.

I'm fortunate that I can still smoke at work, I don't drink much, but from occasionally going down the pub I now never go,

I actively avoid non smoking venues, holiday accomodation, working hotels etc.

I even go to Belgium to buy my tobacco, to avoid being ripped off here.

Am I beyond help ?

I really enjoyed smoking . I bought cheap fags from some air stewardesses that I knew. But my mrs hated it. Being of Indian and Sikh origin it was really difficult. So I caved in. I have to be honest I do not feel any better. But it had to be done.
