Anyone got a recommendation for a decent online supplier ?

Ever heard of :

http://www.richmondcookshop.co.uk/index.php

Worried about buying fakes.

If you're worried then why not go to a physical shop instead of buying online?

I'm lucky and have a massive kitchen shop 5mins walk away! They have an online store too, http://store.kitchenscookshop.co.uk/knives-scissor...

Point taken, but I am trying to save a few quid, and there appears to be good savings to be had.

Hence my concerns.

Nisbets? Prices usually pretty sharp ('scuse pun) on knives (and other kitchen kit).

They do like sending brochures though...

I used them years ago. I didn't buy Global knives off them, but all was kosher then.

Used them before (also not for globals), seemed legit. They've been around for a couple of years at least which is more than can be said for many dodgy operators.

Yep, used Richmond last year to buy Le Creuset frying pan. Absolutely fine, and good prices.

Ordered my G-48 Santoku from Richmond yesterday about 3.30pm via website, had it delivered today about 3pm and have cut the top of my finger off by 7pm.
Loads of emails showing the progress of the order too.

My first Global - what a tool!

Quality product

Idiot user !
