Idly browsing as you do and found this whilst looking at parts.
Appears to need work but might be useful for someone thinking of going down this route

I think it was a "Speedwell" conversion for SDIs. Long time ago.

It's a suckthrough Janspeed kit using Rotomaster TO4B's which made pretty decent power back in those days. Probably 5 psi boost level. I used those turbo's in my TR8 using my own cast manifolds and with a 4.5 efi plenum assembly. It was pretty decent at the time at up to 10 psi smile.

Correct it was Janspeed developed, not Speedwell. For the 1980/81 (30 years ago) Le Mans 24hrs in a TR7 body (2, 2in SU Carbs, and no ECU cux injection confusion!) it was developed to produce 500bhp from our Rover 3.6 litre!. Achieved 201mph down the Mulsanne in practice before drive shafts let it down for the race. Brrummie in Sagaris, eat your heart out!! SMILES.
A replica of the TR7 Turbo exists today.
