I've just bought a second hand set of alloys & winter tyres for my CLK.

Ive kept the off set as near as I can the same as the originale alloys.

My qeston is: How much clearance should you have between the wheel and the (front) caliper.

I have clearance but not a Lot ?

John.

Some cars have as little as a millimeter or less. As long as it does not contact it doesn't matter.

Getting gravel trapped between caliper and wheel can chew up the inside of the rim a bit though!

Having seen how small a lot of OEM wheel to calliper clearances are I'm of the opinion if it's not touching its fine, regardless of how small the gap is!
