DPF On This Car??

Morning all,

Would any of the VAG experts (no sniggering please) on here know if this car would have a DPF?

I wouldn't claim to be an expert but when looking at the possibility of buying Golfs as company cars I was told that the 1.9 doesn't have one, only relatively recent 2.0s do.

105BHP TDI is the old engine, very unlikely to have a dpf, and a very reliable engine.

Parkers lists a 1.9TDI Match both without and with DPF and all the performance/emissions figures are listed as the same. 2006/07 I think was right around the time when DPFs started creeping in on VAG diesels around the time when the CR diesel took over from the PD, I know it was for the Skoda Octavia anyway. There was some crossover with PDs having DPFs. Not sure you can find out without asking them / having a look?

You have the registration number from the advert, so maybe you could ring a VW dealer if the dealer selling the car isn't too helpful?
