Is that expensive then? I can't say I've had to buy many headlight bulbs. I'm assuming that they're "+90%" ones aren't their cheapest.

I have no idea whether the bulb price is reasonable or not, but £7 to fit it seems fair under the circumstances.

it would be on say......... a 1993 fiesta, where it takes seconds.

But on say, a 1996 XK8 I'd happily pay 'em £7 as it's a of a job

Ding, I'm sure some cars are going to be easier than others. and as above they have a list of cars they can and can't do. It seems a fair "flat rate" price to me if you look at the underlying costs of taking one of your £5 an hour untrained shop floor grunts away from his duties to go and work on a customers car with all the associated risk / liability / indemnity issues.

£5 an hour?

Dream on chap.

Ex-OHs kid sister worked there. 16year old. Lass. didnt even know how to open the boot of a car, let alone change a bulb. Paid circa £3 an hour. As min-wage for under 18s is pittance.

They had her out changing bulbs. She got stuck, a lad went to do it.

She once asked me if £25 to fit a single din head unit to her friends rover was a "good deal"......... It wasn't. in them, with ISO, it takes sub 2minutes to do.

I had the choice of buying a single 477 bulb for my Corolla from Halfords, for £36 - they only had the more expensive ones left in stock, conveniently, or I could buy two 477 bulbs from eBay for a pound each.

No brainer.
