Since I've rewired most of the car! I may as well have a look at sorting the Central Locking/Alarm interface. I believe it is the old type (1994) where the Alarm is integrated in to a Black Box behind the dash (M0462 Central door locking Control Unit). I am assuming this since there are also fuel pump wires running to said box.

Does anyone know what the early alarms were based on? Were they remote, or just from the door locks?

Has anyone done away with all the original parts, and rewired the central locking and fitted a new alarm at the same time?

The wiring diagram in the bible, just states "Alarm" but goes no further!

Pretty sure it is a Meta system. Your best bet is to give Carl Baker a buzz and talk through the options with him.

I thought it was a foxguard. Yes I replaced it with another alarm whilst retaining the TVR CDL unit.

I cant find a siren or control unit anywhere, just the TVR module, and at some stage it has had an aftermarket alarm fitted.

If I can figure why the locking is completely dead I would keep the original control unit just for the locking.

Probably no use but ....... my car came with a Foxguard from the factory which as since been removed due to malfunction over 5 years ago now rolleyes and that was a late reg 95 car without the key holes in the door buttons smile but with a separate key fob.
