Have you had to process those to remove red eye (or green eye I think it is in the case of dogs?)

If not, I'm impressed how his eyes have come out considering you're using built in flash.

Yep, you're right - all the pics I took of him had to be corrected, unfortunately. So I've reluctantly decided to look at getting an external flash unit, which don't seem to be cheap!

Until you get a separate flash, you can always wedge a bit of white paper infront of the built in unit to difuse the flash and bounce it off the wall or ceiling. Might help a bit.
