MISSING IN CAMBRIDGE AREA
Discussion
Anyone in the Cambridge area, please keep your eyes open for Bayer - she escaped out of the car at Milton Country Park, Cambridge and has been missing for the last hour. She is a white bull terrier with a black ear.
Any info on her whereabouts would be much appreciated. Someone must of seen her or even picked her up. She is very friendly.

Oh dear I hope you find your dog soon. I'm sure you have tried all the following - ringing radio, papers, all vets in area, kennels, sanctuaries, Blue Cross in Camb?
You must be very worried. I hope you get good news and are reunited soon.
wish I could add more but agree with this. You must be very worried. I hope you get good news and are reunited soon.
I'm sure you will be reunited soon

Not my dog but a friends dog. I have a tri bullie. She is going out of her mind with worry as you can imagine. All vets, dog wardens, etc have been informed. She is chipped and is now on the dogs lost web site but if you are on any other forums please cross post, her family are so worried she end up in the hands of the dog fighters for a bait dog!

This is from Bayers owners:-
Bayer is such a special girl who didn't exactly have the best start in life. However, she was eventually adopted from an amazing couple who due to no fault of their own, had to let her go. At that time, she was living very close to Ipswich and we drove 200 miles to see her. We fell in love with her immediately and brought her home to Staffordshire where she has been for the last 3 months.
We regularly keep in touch with her previous owners, and have become good friends with them. We decided that it would be really nice to meet up at Christmas with all the dogs and go for a walk, as they were desperate to see Bayer again. We agreed to meet roughly half way and plumped for Milton Country Park near Cambridge. (CB24 postcode area)
We arrived at midday on Thursday 29th December where her previous owners were eagerly waiting for us. Bayer was in the boot of the car and looked very excited. Little did I know that she was about to change our lives forever. I opened the boot thinking that she would jump out and enjoy all the fuss she was about to get, whilst giving me time to clip the lead to her collar.
How wrong could I be? She leapt out of the boot and started to run like I have never seen her run before. We started to run after her, screaming at her to come back but she was so fast - we had no chance of catching her. We then spent the next 3 hours scouring the local area for her, but to no avail.
Someone told my Husband that they had seen her leave the park and run along a road towards Tesco supermarket which is close by. We searched nearby streets but found nothing. With the help of our friends, all organisations (Police, Dog Warden, Vets, you name it.....) were called immediately.
At 3pm we had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave, as we had to drive 120 miles back to collect my 6 year old son - who knew nothing about the incident.
Since then, we have tirelessly tried every avenue to get some information. As yet, we have not received a single call.
We are not in the fortunate position of being able to scour the streets of Cambridge to look for Bayer - it is just too far away. This is making it increasingly frustrating and upsetting for us. .
Please help us. xxxxx

Hi folks I have received this - I really don't know how to say this people but our search is over. Bayer has been found but it is not the happy ending we were hoping for. After a phonecall last night from a local person and lots of frantic calls and searching, she was found earlier this afternoon on the train line close to Chesterton. We would like to thank everyone for all of the support, kind words and pra...yers and it has certainly made us realise that there are some amazing people out there. We are completely devastated at the news and would therefore appreciate it if you could give us all time to grieve and come to terms with what has happened after what has been the worst week of our lives.
