guys (and possibly gals)

Whilst being a numpty i decided to reverse the clio into a concrete post... the damage looked worse than first thought.

However what im after is what you guys think the sorta cost will be get repaired at a garage without going through insurance...

I have included pictures (see below) to give an idea of the damage, the car is a Clio 16v 53 plate

Any advice/guess would be appreciated

Cheapest way of fixing it...

Get on to somewhere like find-a-part, and get a second hand tailgate and bumper. For something like a Clio, you'd probably even get the correct colour.

Then find a garage to fit them, or if you really want to save cash, fit them yourself

Only downside to something like find a art, is the number of calls you'll get back from breakers who have the parts you need

An insurance standard repair would be over £1k. You'll probably do it for £300 or less with second hand parts, but there will probably be damage to the metalwork behind the bumper. You have to choose whether to repair that or not.
Is there any damage to the boot floor?

As best as i could see (i picked up carpet) and the damage only goes as far as the bumper, no damage seems to have 'seeped' to inside the boot...

ps

Thanks for the responses smile

Nonetheless I'd be surprised if the rear panel behind the bumper skin and bumper has escaped without damage, though apparently not significant enough to deform the boot floor too. This is based on my experience of having a stained vest wearing, false insurance details giving pie key wker who decided to rearrange the O/S/R corner of my Clio with his stty shogun.

Replacement tailgate & bumper & I'd be surprised if there's no damage to the metalwork behind the bumper. You're not going to find that out without removing the bumper.
