Hi,

My name is Adam. I've been reading this site for a while but only just registered.

I'm wondering if anyone in the south can recommend a decent place to get my car remapped after some engine work (nothing major, just a top end rebuild and some exhaust parts).

Portsmouth/Southampton area preferred, but I don't mind a bit of a drive to a place that has a good reputation.

If I don't get many replies here I'll try posting this on the main boards somewhere.

Happy new year! smile

Hi thanks for the quick reply.

It's a Mk2 Mondeo ST24 V6. Ideally I'm looking for a RR dyno, remap and another RR dyno. Just for peace of mind not for bragging rights. However a generic map flashed to the ECU would be ok.

I will send JKM a message via their website smile

Having experienced generic vs custom mapping i'd be more inclined to go for something a bit more tailord to your needs. Generic mapping / chipping is fine for some but often it causes issues and the maps are not suitable for all driving styles. Live mapping on a rolling road is ideal and the codes can be set for your individual requirments, the trick is finding someone who knows what they are doing.

Also, often the custom maps are the same price or sometimes cheaper than having a generic map loaded onto your ecu. Winner.

Have a browse through the Ford sites and see whats on offer. I'll ask my brother too who's an avid Fast Ford fan and regular event organiser.

This.

And definitely go for someone with experience of your kit, vastly more helpful!

I would say either Regal Autosport in Southampton (do quite a few custom maps for various makes) or JKM down in Portsmouth, both have done good work on my cars.
