Can anyone recommend a good tailor?

My BIL has just moved along saville row from gieves & hawkes to chester barrie.
CB's stuff is quite contemporary and more "modern" than G&H.
Well worth a trip to saville row if you want it truly bespoke. Its easy to get carried away though... I ended up with moulds of my feet being taken and a £500 pair of shoes being custom made for me a little while ago ( that i couldnt afford)
Pop into chester barrie and ask for miles.

Miles Porter? He made a suit for me at Gieves & Hawkes three years ago, he was very good.CB's stuff is quite contemporary and more "modern" than G&H.

Depends how much you want to spend:
£1200 or so - Sims & MacDonald in Lamb's Conduit Street.
I agree. I've been using them for years. For a nice bit of cloth you'll be lucky to get change from £1500 - £2000 though.£1200 or so - Sims & MacDonald in Lamb's Conduit Street.
Very polite, very capable and always produce exactly what you are after.

My first suit from S&M them cost £600 in 1995. I paid in monthly instalments. I still have it and wear it from time to time.

Had 2 suits from him and they are stunning. Budget around £750 and you will get a Saville Row suit for not Saville Row prices. He does a lot of work for Saville Row tailors who then add the street price on
