e46 m3 smg and high mileage

hi guys,
just wondering how many owners have the smg 2 in the e46 m3 and have got high mileage?
obviously the smg has more problems than the manual but is there any major changes for the car the higher mileage it gets? (post 70k)
The smg pump seems to be the mostly costly repair from what the old threads seem to say but what is your opinion?
I realise these cars have amazing engines and 80K is low mileage in germany but who has owned an smg at these stages as resale valve at higher mileage seems to hurt these cars more than manual.
