2500 miles and 3 trackdays have taken its toll on rear Goodyear F1s, maybe only 1 or 2 trackdays left in them. Fronts are OK.

a) is this a typical wear rate? - I don't do a huge no. of laps, but Knockhill is full of corners - not complaining, just curious.

b) any consensus on best replacement tyre? - having checked web, best price I see is £800 per tyre for Goodyear F1! - Ultima factory price therefore very good if they still sell them at £670 a pair. Anyone running Michelins or Pirellis as altenatives? These seem to be available a lot cheaper in UK.

I'm happy enough with F1 performance - managable in wet and quite grippy in dry when warmed up.

The tyres that came with my split rims from the factory about 6 months ago have Michelins on them already.

Can't tell you how good they are yet!

BTW I have a pair of unused 17" Goodyears if anyone is interested.
