Lovely, I'm guessing from the Recaros it's a Premier edition?

Any modifications bar the wheels, aftermarket intake or exhaust for example?

it been lowered on Koni yellows by about 50mm. D2 camber adjustment thingmajigeys in the rear and all standard apart from this.

love it as it is but needs more grunt smile

and yes is a 56 plate premier, one of the last EP3's i've been told.

use a local mechanic (Andy - Automek) whos a bit of a honda nut and he says he's never seen one in such good condition after 5 years on the road

the older Type R's really do put the current model to shame

Looks lovely. Just sold my 1.4l of the same era. Always wanted one of these but American wife means I've gone to the auto boxed dark side.

Bit of mechanic cliche IMO.

I'm a big fan of the EP3 and I think the shape has aged really well smile

Google?

I'd say that the EP3 Type R is a fairly safe bet as a used car. I did a lot of reading when I was looking to buy one and I couldn't find any real nightmare issues, which is very rare these days thanks to most modern car problems being heavily document on the tinternet frown

What a stunner. You can safely say though that most things with the Type R badge are going to be pretty entertaining (even the bodged, GT-ish FN2). If I was looking at a fwd hot hatch I'd definitely be looking at EP3's.

thanks for all the comments guys.

about the black wheels though, I think I will be changing them to standard or white some point this year, not decided yet. I like the stealth look but black wheels have never been my thing.

Just tell her to learn how to drive a proper manual car (unless she allowed you to buy something with a mahoooosive V8 in it?!) biggrin

No such luck, picking up my new (for me) Fabia VRs estate tomorrow. DSG and 180bhp was what the budget could stretch to.

On topic, think black with white wheels would look good.
