Was looking for a 2006-2008 Audi A4, however stumbled across this

06 Lexus IS, 60k, £6k - seems like a decent buy even though they depreciate quit badly

Anyone got/had one?

all opinions appreciated

My F-i-L has a 220D, 2009 model. Not to good on the mpg, somewhere around 40 is the max on a run.

His has the full multi media and heated/cooled leather etc. It's a nice place to sit and well built.

Never had one, but I would buy one over a A4, 3 Series, C-Class.

They are comfy and well built.

Nice cars, but personally i would stay away from the diesel.

The 2.5L V6 is much nicer, not fast but refined.

The diesel is not the greatest of diesels in terms of performance, economy and refinement.

Lexus should have stuck with petrol on this model but decided to chase the company car market on the IS by shoe horning a Toyota oil burning lump into the engine bay.

IS-F is the best of the range but still pricey.

I had a 2007 IS250 SE Auto from new. Loved it, great engine, smooth, powerful enough. Can't comment on the diesel, but the car generally was very well built, quiet, nice drive.

A nice car to own & drive.

(I also tested A4 and 3 series before buying)

Think tonker ran one for a few months, look up his thread. They represent a lot of car for the money but aren't as good as a 3-series.
