This year I've gone from 21st to 16st 2lb in early dec. took a breather that never really started again and went a little calorie crazy over the last week. Now 16st 10lb!!!!

Burger tonight then back at it for new year! (done me good though, if I see another quality street before dec 2012 I'll vomit)

Was 14 stone 2 on the 17th dec, now weighing in at 14 stone 11

I don't mind putting a bit on over Christmas, I will aim to get under 13 stone 7 by May.

Dropped from 15st in May to 12st5 before Xmas. Currently 12st13 - back to it on Monday.

I suspect that there's a significant bit of water in that weight gain, lots of salt in Xmas crap.

in just under a year i've taken a stone off. several reasons why.

-saw a couple of pics where i just didn't look quite right. turning forty this year and weight is starting to look less like muscle and more like middle age spread.

-clothes not fitting quite right and feeling like crap compared to how fit i've always been. got very frustrated with this until the next thing happened.

-dad in and out of hospital for some serious stuff all summer. spent most of it with him, seeing a lot of people who would give anything to be able to be fit, so took it on board.

-cut out all sugar in tea and coffee, tried to eat slightly smaller portions of everything and not loads of crap after dinner. also, have a carton of passata as a snack whenever i'm at work or just feel like eating crap. fortunately i love the taste and can drink it cold and still really like it. i think the trick is find something you like that's really good for you in this respect.

-finally, try to contract norovirus. after watching bear grylls and alice the goon on telly the other night, i commenced a projectile vomitathon lasting a day, followed by expelling the other half f my troublesome winter weight out my cornhole.

i'm now 12 stone 3 and feel much, much better for it. in an anti-pavlovian twist however, i now can't visualise miranda whatsisface without feeling very, very ill.

Beginning of this year I was touching 11 stone, which was overweight IMHO!

I joined the gym in June and at the beginning of Dec I was 9.5 stone.

I weighed myself 2 days ago and I was back to 10 stone mad

I'm starting back at the gym tomorrow and my weight will be back to normal within 4 weeks.I'm really hoping to get to under 9 stone this summer!

I started the stronglifts 5x5 about 6 weeks ago so looking forward to getting back on it.

frightening how much quicker it goes back on than comes off. specially as you get older.

Snacking is the big problem here. If you drop the snacking, the weight will start to drop off nicely. Switching from mainly beers to mainly spirits, does wonders as well.

Yes much harder as you get older, makes it more challenging!

I had lost just under 6 stone (around 5 stone 10) before Christmas, I managed to put 11 fking lbs on! Not impressed at all! Expected it though, considering the crap I ate!

Was going to go to the gym on Tuesday, but decided I better go, so went yesterday and today to try and make up for it!

I felt like crying lol.

I dread to think. Since the start of October I had lost around 1 stone by going to the gym regularly and starting Muay Thai/MMA training. (gym consisted of mainly cardio, concentrating on cycling and padwork for boxing). However I hadn't paid much attention to my diet and can now see that the diet is where all the work is done.

Soon as i'm back to Nottingham next week me and my flatmate have decided to start to sort our diets out and basically cut like crazy and step up the Muay Thai training to try and get the weight down.

Also, training to do my first triathlon (sprint) and (hopefully) cycle from John O'groats to land's end in the Summer, so hopefully I should get some decent results.

Will go to just over 15 then back up to 16 lean. I can't add muscle and drop fat at the same time so happy to maintain Lean wheight while I drop then go back up.

That's about 20 lb to drop now, so 8 to 10 weeks .... End of feb.

A lb or two. Seems to defy the quantity of food and probably more importantly booze I have consumed in the last 7 days. That said, I did blast 1100 calories at the gym yesterday.
