Hi Just a quick question the replacement rear brake pads I have got for my 996 do not have the two circle metal spigots on the rear of each pad that fit inside the caliper as the ones I have taken off do? Is this a problem or are the ones I took off original Porsch items and replacements dont have these? Hope this makes sense

They are separate items that should be purchased at the same time as new pads. smile

I checked the online youtube clip and the pads they use had no spigots? Cannot find reference to them?

996 rear brake dampening disc (30mm dia) Hi is it ok to fit without these or must they always be used?

Note that there are 4 28mm dampers and 4 30mm dampers on the rear axle (2 per side obv..). As far as I'm concerned, if Porsche put them there, then they should go back on.
