Dont buy Autosport this week......

......unless you want nothing but season reviews. There is nothing else at all in the issue and i am sure this could have been combined with the "special double overpriced" issue that came out on the 15th of December and give us all a break.

Not bought it for a few weeks, so decided to "catch up" on what was happening - Obviusly made up well before Christmas (no doubt so the journo's could take a holiday !)

Good grief - those comments could have come from myself.....They're only perpetuating the myth that Motorsport=F1.....Which is then picked up by the general media and Joe Public.

Buy Autosport?...haha, good one. In Australia, during the mid-late '90's, sometimes I would buy a 2 week old copy of Autosport, despite the fact it was 2 weeks old and almost cost 3 times more than the Australian magazines, the quality was obvious. Nowadays, I would only read it if it were given for free. A similar deterioration has happened with Australian magazines, instead replace F1 with V8 Supercars, with "obilgatory" F1/Webber content...

tbh, I've had a subscription for so long I just keep it going out of habit (plus it's fairly cheap due to the dicount I get now), but There's been several times in the past few years I've wondered why.

Having not bought a copy for a few weeks, and I have up to the last 6 months been an avid reader, I made the mistake of buying it yesterday. I know there's not much news to report but even so... poor effort.

Where the hell do you live to get it in tesco?

Uuup north we are lucky if we get 2 month old copies of TG and CAR let alone a specialist mag like autosport

Looked at it as well and was surprised to see nothing of any other category of motor sport. Why don't they drop the now misleafing title and just call it what it is - "F1 Weekly".

"Motor Sport" is the mag for me.

I don't subsrcribe to Autosport but I do advertise in it and looking through the Best of 2011 issue I see

F1, Indycar, GP2, GP3, Sportscars, World GT1, WRC, DTM, WTCC, Britsh F3, F2, Renault 3.5,
BRSCC, BARC, 750 Motor Club, hill climbing, HSCC, Radical racing, Classic Sport Car Club racing, MG Car Club.

....and a season review seems the correct and natural thing to do in a 29th December issue.

Latest issue of Motor Sport is really good - nice review of the season, enlightening article/interview with Jenson and a review of the 991 for my Porsche addiction....

I was disappointed with this week's autosport.....
