Alternator belt

Probably a stupid question - my alternator belt has started to squeal so needs adjusting. I assume it's as simple as moving the alternator up a bit to take up the excess slack - or is there a different method I should employ?

I'd replace the belt worth doing. Not sure if they're easy to get to on the speed six i can't picture it as i have the 4.2
