Intrested in what you guys think of this car.

Basalt Black, 3.6 Carrera with PDK gearbox, PCM Sat Nav, Full Black Leather, Crested Seats, Bose Sound with 6 CD, Headlamp Wash, Rear Park Sensors, Mats, i-pod connection & bluetooth phone prep, 19" Sport Wheels, Full Porsche History, Xenon Headlamps, Rear Wiper, Black Alcantara Headlining, Heated Seats & Heated Steering Wheel. Finance free, 6 months tax and MOT'd till July 2012.
20k miles
The buyer wants £38500 but it needs a service and tyres in 4k miles.

It has also had 4 previous owners. I'm worried this might be a problem if i want to sell in about 18months time.

What do you guys think?

Seems good to me. I assume theres no Porsche Extended Warranty on it ? It would be a good move to get one though.

You don't state what year it is.

You say it will require tyres shortly which will be circa £1k and the service is the major which at an opc will be around £1500 without any additional work. Add a 111 point check to that and an extended warranty and that will be another £1200ish.

The car does sound good though but given the current economis climate, I'd be offering him £35k.

I spoke to the same chap. FWIW 4 owners put me off as I'd be looking to sell again with 12-18 months and the new buyer would be the 6th in 4-5 years.

I'd agree with the £35k mentioned above. OPCs are jammed with stock that isn't selling, and I think the C2S models are going to be pushed lower to make space for p/x's against 991s...

I assume this is the one that just appeared on PH for £40k? Not my top colour choice, but a nice spec - I was going to phone up as I too am looking for a gen 2 997. However, you've saved me the trouble. 4 owners on a 3yr old car is at least one too many for me.
As other posters have said, the 997 gen 2 dealer stock is not shifting and there will be more arriving soon, so I expect there will be plenty available for around £40k soon.
