First what car of 2012 :D

Been meaning to post up here asking opinions on my next car just not got around to it till now and though id be cheeky, anyway in next few months am planning on getting my next car budget will max 7k maybe 7.5k with my current banger as part-ex if at a dealer.
will just be 25 and got a claim and 3 points with just 1 year ncb so very high powered cars are beyond what want to pay for insurance.
cars that tried to ins and to high so far as 350z, rx8, m3, impreza, evo, 530
current fav is pre-face lift focus st
lists of what looking at in car is:
dont like, later leon's only like the early mk1 cupra R, not a massive audi fan
hardtop, just don't trust folk around here with a soft top and g/f would not feel safe
4 seats don't "need" them just its only car and i do give lifts to mates sometimes so added practicality a handy things
mpg don't really care about, don't do the miles and can afford pretty much anything for a while at least
manual gearbox - certainly dont want anything else
somthing that handles quite well and a good element of fun this is quite important.
would like good toys inside if possible, not needed but always nice and do plan longer trips, off to germany etc
none star ship milage, not that important really but makes me feel a lot safer about buying a money pit
what does amaze me at this price have seem everything from the st, my favorite just now, various cupras, vrs etc, lots of 3 series, some 5 series but im sure im missing plenty
so what can people suggest for me?
