Things I did last year: -

My car is a M12 GTO 3.

1. Fitted stainless M400 exahaust system.
2. Fitted Pro-Alloy intercooler and hard pipe kit.
3. Yellowshed re-map.
4. Fitted Pro-Alloy radiator.
5. Fitted Nitron shock with Eibach springs and corner weighted by Jetstream.
6. TDS and M400 dash (fitted by Jetstream).
7. Bought a set of M400 wheels and fitted with Toyo R888’s (ready for track days).
8. Oil pressure/temperature gauge fitted.
9. Stainless steel manifolds fitted.
10. Tunnel Mod.

So guys what to do next?

Here are a couple of items on my list.

1. Get LSD fitted (thought I’d do this when standard diff. breaks).

2. Up-rated fuel pump
3. Timing Mod. With up-rated valve springs
4. RE-Map by Yellowshed.

I would have to do 2, 3 and 4 together.

Hi Mike great list of mods do far !! To me a gearbox upgrade is you next step along with a gearshift upgrade , it's you weakest link in what you have at the moment and the one thing most likely to give you an issue . Tux

Item 2 on your list, with uprated harness and fuel hose upgrade all the way is a must if your going to track it.

Hi Simon,

I hear what you say and I agree with you, but I would prefer the gearbox need fixing before I fix it, if you know what I mean.

My recomendations are as below:

Fuel pump and wiring, fuel tank outlet/return mod with baffles, and change ARV for a breather, i would regard these as essential modifications.

Do you have air/oil cooler fitted? If not then that is a fairly easy install.

The other thing i would recommend is venting the whale tail and wheel arches on the rear clam to take full advantage of that previous tunnel cooling modification.

Am I right you don't have an LSD? if so its going to break if you have upped the power or are going on track with it... so I agree with simon get that upgraded.

In truth though we need to have an idea as to your goals with the car.... i've done the gradual upgrade thing and its a lot more expensive than you deciding on a spec and working towards it.

5 speed diff is very weak Mike , mine at 29000 miles was knackered on std power .

Now is the best time To get it sorted , you will be gutted if it lets go on the way to Spa !!!! Tux

Decision made, I’m going to have the LSD fitted, M400 pump upgrade and the cam timing done complete with stronger valve springs and Yellowshed re-map.

Also new brake disc’s and pads all-round.
