Really? You can only get one if you have a 918 Spyder on order. You can order a coupe or cab both based on Turbo S but special colours. IIRC it was about £130k?

Didn't I read that every buyer took the 911 as well?

Its fking horrible - who in their right mind would want an iconic car, badged up as a completely different car - might as well call it a Bugatti GTi FFS.

It seems a strange idea to badge a 911 a '918 edition'. Or is it actually genius? If every 918 buyer has indeed bought one, then I would suggest the latter!

You have to hand it it Porsche, they are good at this stuff.

Do the matching trainers come free or do you buy those separately.

i read cragswinters post that way but looking at it again it was not the case .
however i think anyone crazy enough to buy a 918 should get at least one free ...

No you don't get one free! It's in the 918 option list.

But I definatly have read on one site every owner took the option, as mental as that sounds (could be schol blocks of course)

Oh well - different world I suppose! I'm in wtdoom's camp though, you should get one free for the wedge!

weak marketing to paint a few green bits on the car and associate it with the 918.

Now if they had dropped GT2 RS 621bhp Mezger engine and a manual gearbox in a turbo as a run out model that would be exciting.

IIRC, this special edition was only available to buyers of the 918; intended I think for ownership to fill up the time gap up until the time their 918 is delivered to them. I thought I had read that the purchase of the 911TTS was compulsory (but I maybe wrong)- i.e. if you want to buy a 918 Spyder, you had to prequalify by buying the turbo in the meantime!

You don't get the matching trainers free (shame) but if you want some, go here:

For some reason, you can't get them in the UK.
