OK the snow flake is annoying me now

My ice detector is playing up, sometimes when I start the car and it goes through a quick series of colours and disappears (I assume this is the correct behaviour), other times it just stays on red permantly, other times stays red for a couple of minutes before disappearing. I have changed the thermistor in the nose but to no avail?

Anyone got any suggestions before I remove the dash top and pull the bulb out!

lol - 11 degrees C today and the stoopid things is on. However yesterday it decided to have a day off.

It's not actually a bulb, it's an led on a board. If you bend two of the pins where the ribbon connector plugs in, this will disable it without affecting the other functions (can't remember what they are though).

This is what I was thinking. Took another look yesterday and nothing seems wrong with the sensor - so guessing there are a number of other connections to look at.

1) Ribbon cable behind the dash (possible! the dash was removed a while back to have the rev counter fixed)

2) At the heater control box (behind the passenger footwell, correct?)

3) Multiplug inside the nearside front wing (I believe there is one in there, can anyone confirm?)
