Turning right out of a friends drive I gouged the offside sill of my Cayman in 2 places (paint not broken) on a wooden tub, anyone got any idea what it'll take to fix this ?

It's a year old, so whatever I do needs to not undermine the warranty

porsche approved body shop then, you'll need a body shop regardless.

No camera with me, but it's not really bad as I say no paintwork broken, gouges not deep, just concerned that being a sill it maybe difficult to effect a repair that doesn't involve paint or major surgery

Sorry to hear about your scrape.

The sill covers on my GT3 are separate pieces and not toooooo extortionately priced. If it's just the cover could you buy one of those and have it painted? Would be good as new then, with no worries about overspray etc.

(Just don't try buying 'em from Porscheshop!)

Your profile says your are in Kent. Depending where there is an excellent outfit called scuff busters in Tunbridge Wells. I used them when I took a speed bump a bit quickly in my 997 and scuffed the lip quite badly. They did an amazing job for a quarter of what the Porsche approved place wanted. The place isnt much to look at, a little unit on an industrial estate but craftsmen who know their stuff. Good luck.

I'm in Kent too, and seriously gouged the sill on my 911 last Summer. Fixed by a bodyshop in Swanley for £500 - and it really is better than new - I was amazed.

PM me and I'll give you their address etc

Did this on my GT3 - nearly £5000 later it was perfect.............two bits of plastic and then all painted to match and blended in as required

Must have been a full bare metal body respray due to the fact that it was impossible to match the original colour. eek
