2005 Range Rover Crashed Audio System

Hi folks,
Posting this up on behalf of my old man, his 2005 Range Rover Vogue's audio system seems to have crashed - basically on start up the screen comes up with the usual Land Rover badge but then it will stay up and freeze with the on/off button flashing? Even when switched off it can stay like this for some time?

Had a quick look yesterday, no buttons on radio or steering wheel do any tricks - I didnt have time to disconnect battery or check fuses which was my next port of call.

Any other suggestions?

Water ingress in the rear near side

Could well be water ingress as above, on the Fullfatrr forum you'll find plenty of info about it. The solution is a 'water shedder' which is basically an expensive bit of plastic from Land Rover to try to keep the audio components dry!
