How quickly have you got from A to B?
Discussion
So how impressively/surprisingly quickly have people got places? (not necessarily breaking the speed limit...). You know when you managed somewhere in some inexplicably short time...
For me:
Sheffield to Heathrow at 4am one Sunday Morning many years ago - 1 hour 35 minutes...
...and last year, Derby to Genoa, Italy (Just a peep over 1000 miles) in 11 hours 50 minutes (not including the ferry).
Ok i may have strayed over 70 on a couple of occasions...
ETA - I just found the little diary I kept of the trip - I'd even worked out the mpg on each stretch - how sad!! This stretch took over 2.5 tanks of fuel and we managed 23mpg!

North east Scotland to south west England in 10 hours dead. 672 miles door to door and the time included a 45 minute lunch and fuel stop and about 15 to 20 mins for a coffee later.
It only averages out at 67mph officer so clearly wasn't breaking the law. We will forget about the fact it takes 3 hours to get to the first motorway and we will certainly ignore the fact it turns out the cruise control doesn't work above 115mph
