Greetings and a Happy new year to you all. Are there any Subaru mechanics or indeed mobile mechanics near the Aberdeen area that could do a wheel bearing on a Impreza in the next few days? Currently offshore and not sure I want to risk the drive home as it sounds like imminent failure is a likely outcome.

As usual many thanks for any help or info given.

Cheers
Stewart

Do you have all the necessary parts, as the parts departments probably won't be open for a few days yet. If the bearing is as bad as it sounds, you might have already damaged the hub and it might also need to be replaced.

I once had 3 bearing replaced within a 4 week period (all under warranty thankfully) and drove a few hundred miles with front left making a terrible noise going round right hand corners despite being told by the garage that the bearing was fine. The hub had to be replaced as well.

In a straight line no noise but quite bad "on the turn", don't want to risk the hub by driving anymore on it!!! Offshore so no parts but can have one delivered!

Sign up to Aberdeen Scoobies, one of the guys there might be able to help you out.

Not sure if it's of much help, but I use Clark Motorsport for mine.

Clark Motorsport do all the work on my WR1 too.

Alternatively you could ask for Russ (think he's on Aberdeen Scooobies as "Country_Cowboy"),if he's onshore he may well be able to help you as he knows absolutely everything about these fine machines biggrin
