In order to remove the nearside rocker cover for refurbishment one of the items that i had to move out of the way was the dipstick tube.

On refitting, the dipstick is now very tight to insert/remove from the tube.

I was very careful when twsting it out of the way but i assume i have put a slight kink in the tube hence the tightness?

The dipstick goes in fully but should i be worried? Will it still read correctly? I cannot see anything amiss as it goes into the block.

Sure you for the tube in in the right plain cos they sometimes do have a long gradual bend anyway so if its in at a different point then yes it may be tight, try and rotate the tube to a different point.
