Okie dokie peeps
When i put the porker into reverse gear the sensor - instead of bleeping - just lets out a continuous noise. Have given her sensors a good clean but no joy...

Happy New Year and thanks for your help

The one loud bleep is not notify you that the system's not working, which is usually because a sensor has failed.

To test which leave it in reverse, ignition on but engine not running and kneel down and get your ear next to each sensor - the ones that are working will make a tick tick tick sound, the one(s) that aren't will be quiet.

I've no idea for Porsche but BMW sensors are about £50+VAT (996 number plate lights are a BMW item, so not unreasonable to think things like PDC sensors could be too). However, a Porsche main dealer will want to send it to their bodyshop to be painted first (unless it's a black car which you'd probably get away without painting at all), whereas it may be possible to buy an aerosol and do it yourself before giving it to someone else to fit for you (any bodyshop or mechanic should be able to get the bumper off for you and fit it).
