Well the list of lap times on wikipedia has the Boxster S at 8 minutes 10 seconds and the Porsche press release Phooey quoted on the other thread claimed the Spyder was 7 seconds quicker.

That would make it 8 minutes 3
seconds.

Can't find a direct source though after a quick google.

Perhaps we should send khushy with a stop watch?

Does anyone have any ideas about the Cayman R time?

I know the wiki says the Gen 2 Cayman S does 8:04

Anyone got a list of all the Porsche ring times? Be good for comparison.

Only two I know is 7:50 for M3 CSL and 7:40 for the 991 C2S

More than a pinch!

Ring times are such a load of bks. Too many variables. Unless it's the same driver, same day, same tyres, witnessed etc etc......

I'm missing something here. Probably blunt sarcasm, this being the internet and all smile

But even if it hadn't been a "company car" (as it was in this case), what's the problem with people actually driving their cars, even an XJ220, round the 'ring?

I think cmoose was referring to the fact that the XJ220 is one hell of a barge to be pedalling round the Ring.
